Course Description

This course is designed to review and expand upon the basic assessment process originally gained in massage therapy training.  Utilizing the information gained during the therapist's initial education, along with the teaching included in this workshop, the participant will learn to more fully evaluate the client's health.  In this assessment process, the client will be reassured that his or her therapist is confident and knowledgeable.  With training, the therapist's time with the client will be purposeful, leading to a clear and beneficial treatment plan and a client who feels secure in the massage therapist's care.  This course will demonstrate how to palpate and test for problems the client may have.  It will also include a segment on how to decide whether to treat and/ or refer the client to another professional when prudent.
